Keeping a piece of Viroqua history alive, Thoreau’s Garden operates a full service greenhouse that gives fresh energy to the local community by growing a variety of plants that nurture forth joy, health and connection in human souls.
Thoreau Gardens Is A Social Enterprise Of Thoreau College, With Three Main Purposes:
- To provide high quality houseplants, flower, herb and vegetable starts, hardy perennials, winter greens and other beautiful and delicious growing things for the local community using organic and biodynamic techniques;
- To provide an educational environment where Thoreau College students can learn about ecology, sustainability, botany, organic and biodynamic agriculture, hard work and entrepreneurialism including marketing and business management;
- To generate revenues that can support the Scholarship Fund of Thoreau College.

We are so excited to be offering you another month of our microgreens! This mix has arugula, kale, amaranth, mustard, broccoli, sunflower, red cabbage, and pea shoots. For a one-time payment of $25, you will receive 4 weeks of fresh microgreens in 2 ounce bags.

The deadline to sign up for this share is Wednesday, March 3rd. The first pickup is Friday, March 5th! You can come into Thoreau’s Garden to pickup your micros every Friday and Saturday from 12-4 PM.
